The friendly voiceover was recorded in my Home Studio and then mixed by Media Music Now with three fabulous tracks from their library of Royalty Free Music. The full audio and video are below along with a testimonial from Lee Pritchard of Media Music Now.

The voiceover brief was “Straight Talking & Positive” and some tutorial sections required gently paced instructions for installing the various worksurface products. All voiceovers were recorded and edited in my home studio and supplied as finished tracks ready to drop into the video edit. A video sample is below from the first film “About Us”.

The 15 minute film plays as a sophisticated Powerpoint presentation using Hankook Tire’s award-winning graphics, and gives a thorough picture of the company – including the history, production facilities, markets, products, awards, advertising, ecological principles and future plans.

The voiceover brief was “Corporate Neutral” and I delivered this using an RP voice with deeper tones to add gravitas, befitting a global company with such a proud history. Short audio and video extracts from the film are below.

The voiceover brief was “Informative, Corporate, Clear” and the piece was to be read at a reasonably quick pace since there was a lot of information to get across in the planned 7 minute video length. The resulting instructional video will be shown on intranets. A 1 minute audio extract and 3 minute video extract are below.

The voiceover brief was “Savvy, Youthful & Pacy; as if explaining it to a mate in the pub” as it needed to appeal to a graduate audience in their early 20′s. My narration was recorded at Silk Sound in London and then a punchy, lively animation was created around it. The finished video is hosted on the Allen & Overy graduate website and on their YouTube channel. The video is below along with a 1 minute audio extract from the start of the film.

Interested in writing in general, Isabelle Livingstone wanted to show the continuing power today of hand written letters, despite their replacement by the computer keyboard. Other themes were included : revenge, lies and questions about what matters in life, showing oppositions and contrasts between these two characters. Filmed in three days with a tiny crew in East Sussex, England, this micro budget movie was shot on HD with the Movie Tube system. In 2010 the film screened at the Cannes Short Corner and at the International Film Festival Ireland.
